The Triamec Servo Drive Hardware |
|
The combination of FPGA technology and a floating point DSP enable Triamec Servo Drives
to reach out for new dimensions.
The FPGA allows the high-quality, digital filtering of current and analog encoder signals,
which is not possible with conventional Servo Drives.
The filters can be configured, so the bandwidth can be specifically adapted to the application.
Another advantage of digital filtering is the optimal suppression of the PWM frequency.
The result can be heard:
Axes which have been limited by their loud noise now become significantly more silent.
They can be controlled with higher speed and stiffness.
With the use of a floating point DSP,
application specific, complex axes couplings and inverse kinematics
can be implemented efficiently.
In addition, the large calculation power allows up to three independent DC motors driven by one Servo Drive,
including axes couplings.
